Gift card artwork specifications

For use with ComeAgainRSVP or Timegate - Prepaid/Gift Certificate Tracking Module

General

  • The preferred application is Corel Draw
  • Artwork prepared with drawing programs, like Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator using vector outlines, are the most transportable across platforms and will maintain the best resolutions for output.
  • If artwork is available from page layout programs like QuarkExpress or Pagemaker, please call for more information.

    • Camera Ready Art Work

  • Include composite and color separation printouts if sending camera ready artwork
  • When providing artwork for the carrier or the gift card with colors that bleed, provide at least 1/8" extra image with which to work
  • If submitting printed art, please print the images as large as possible in black and white. Use an 8.5" x 11" sheet at as high a resolution as possible. Print color separations enlarged - in black (each color 100% black) and white AND print composites in black and white to scale.

    • Electronic Files

  • If sending art created on a MAC, please save as an EPS or PDFFILEe file. Include images saved as TIFF.
  • Adobe Acrobat files (pdf) can be used for some 4-color process jobs, but must be prepared carefully.
  • Microsoft Word files are not acceptable, and may require additional charges.
  • If using fonts not packaged with the program, please convert the fonts to Curve (Path/Graphic)
  • We also accept encapsuled postscript files (eps) with all fonts converted to graphic (Curbe/Path)
  • We can accept ZIP, MIME, or STUFFIT compressions ONLY
  • Files may be sent on a 3.5" floppy, ZIP disk, CD or via e-mail.
  • If the files are Bitmaps files, layout the images to actual size and make color files at least 300 dpi, grayscale at 600 dpi, and if line art is included, make them 1,200 dpi for good quality. (We prefer to work with TIFF, PDS or PCX images for the PC.)
  • When providing artwork for the carrier or the gift card with colors that bleed, provide at least 1/8" extra image with which to work

    • Bar Codes

  • The Gift Cards have a pre-printed bar code number for each gift card. IES will assist with determining the sequence numbering. The bar code appears on the back of the Gift Card unless you specify differently and include it in the artwork for the Gift Card.
